About Us

Hello,

My name is Lisa & my husband is Michael. We are delighted you are visiting us. We both work from home and are raising 4 boys in our blended home. Zachary is 14, Timothy is 11, Bradley is 10 and Matthew is 9. We reside in the Tampa Bay Area and love to do things outdoors where we can enjoy God’s creation. All 6 of us love the Lord and strive daily to please Him with our thoughts, words and actions. We are not a perfect family; God is still doing His work in us.

Our goal for this site is to help others (as well as our family) to be good stewards of all that God has entrusted to us. These hard economic times, combined with such a large family, has provided us with the inspiration needed to really delve in and tighten our belts and to help others accomplish the same.

Michael worked in Advertising and Marketing for over 20 years. He finally left his job to pursue his dream of owning his own business.

We have owned our own businesses for the past 3 1/2 years. However, with the turn of the economy, we have had to fold 1 of them;  which was our main source of income.  This all happened around August ’09. We knew we were in for some rough roads ahead but we moved forward on an act of FAITH. Experience with our other business, a local coupon website, gave us the inspiration, confidence and hope that we could help people on a national and international basis as well.

I grew up shopping at thrift stores and loving “Garage Sale-ing”. Michael had a knack for how to find the best deals online for a product he was interested in. But we knew neede to learn more. We’ve worked hard at learning how to find the best deals and making the most of the money we have and we have a deep desire to help you do the same.

Join us on our journey as we learn and grow together each day.

    Darlene,

Sorry it took us so long to see this message. You can always order extra coupons for a minimal fee from from such places as ebay or coupon clippers. Hope that helps. Mike and Lisa

    Hi Lisa and John,

I just wanted to drop in and tell you how much I enjoy your site! I am new to blogging and have learned so much from you. You have also had the pleasure of corresponding with my daughter Tara (Des Moines Coupon Mom). She is a joy of a daughter and I am so proud of her successful blog! We both enjoy great savings and great deals. I love being able to share that with others. Hope you have a great day!! Colleen

    Colleen,
Thank you for the nice words. I think that’s awesome that both you and your daughter have blogs! What a great common thread! I’m sure we will be talking more in the future!

A friend recommended mojosavings, so I checked and found an amazing amount of organization and insight. While saving everyone money with the coupons, you must also be saving them a lot of search time, listing by topic and store. The background information (Walgreen’s stacking coupons, etc.) is particularly useful.

    Sara,
There are several safe ways to make money from home. The ways I am talking about won’t make you rich by any means, but could give you some extra cash to pay a bill or two. There are a couple of survey companies that I like, My Survey, Send Earnings, and Inbox Dollars. You can search these on the site and read more about them. We also love Swagbucks. You can earn gift cards to many different stores. We choose Amazon and Target a lot because we can get household items and save that way. I hope this helps.
    Lisa
