Hey Guys. Like some of you, money is tight right now especially with the Holidays. We knew that for us, this was going to be a bit of crunch time. So what I did was save up some of the ECBs I had received and used them today to buy things that we needed. I have to admit that this went against my love of rolling them from week to week and seeing what I can get for free. But, it was necessary and a Blessing that we had them.
So, today I went to CVS and bought $33 worth of groceries and paid $7 out of pocket. I had $13 in ECBs, bought sale items, used $1/1 Q and a $5/$20 coupon. I didn’t get any ECBs back but I did get a $3/$15 good on my next purchase.
I bought milk, bread, peanut butter crackers, creamer, 3 Campbell’s spaghetti, 4 packs of noodles, cereal, Hawaiian Punch, 2 Goldfish crackers, paper plates and a newspaper.
I just wanted you to see it’s okay to not always leave CVS with more ECBs than when you had when you went in. (Although it is true that that’s my normal goal)
If you’d like to learn more about shopping at CVS and ECBs, see my post here.

Good for you. Excuse my ignorance, but what is an ECB? Thanks. I want them…they sound great!
ECBs are Extra Care Bucks. Its a reward system that CVS uses. You can read more about it here.
