you should never use bleach when removing mold. Also, do not use bleach on caulk because it deteriorates the caulk & seal & can lead to water leaking under your tiles, tub/shower surround & may cause more mold.

Agree about bleach … I use vinegar … or a mixture of vinegar, ammonia, some hot water and baking soda. Cleans almost everything. However, if you use a rag or brush to thoroughly scrub the areas, wait until they are dry and then spray with vinegar it will clean up nicely. You might have to repeat it a few times, but VINEGAR is my favorite cleaner!

A friend has a sink that has the old brass drain and we tried vinegar on that — dried the drain first and then sprayed it with vinegar several times until it shown.

Another good ALL NATURAL cleaner is LEMON. I buy bags of lemons when they are on sale and cut them in half and squeeze the juice onto areas that need to be cleaned … it works like bleach — removes the stains. Works wonders on laundry … even on hands when stained from cutting fruits and veggies.

Bottled lemon juice works well also!

But NO BLEACH on bathroom tiles.

One reason I refrain from use of chemicals is because I have cats and they like to jump into the bathtub and catch a drink out of the faucet — they come running when they hear water running in the tub. If bleach is used to clean the tub area, it becomes a toxic area for pets.
