Every Sunday I am going to try to post a re-cap of how our shopping went for the week. Now, as you look at this weeks list, you will think we are a bunch of soda-aholics…lol. Well, it’s partly true. We do consume a lot of soda, but this was a major stock up week! (photo is only of 1/17 purchases)

Plus, as I went to put my cart away, someone left their notepad in their cart, so 1 free notepad! Am I cheap or what…lol.
I am doing things a little different this year. Instead of tallying the savings, I have given myself goal for my monthly grocery spending and I am documenting it all. My goal is $400 per month. This may not seem like a tough goal, but it is! Remember, we have a family of 6 – with 4 hungry, growing boys!
Spending To Date: $225.88

never really followed the drug store deals but saturday i went to wags thinking i would get a few good deals and not really understanding the RR deal i didnt do as good as i should have!! they never really seem freindly or eager to help you in my store. hopefully next time i will do better and good luck on your next trip to wags….
I find them the same in my store – a little put out. Let me know if you ahve any specific questions concerning how to work the Walgreens deals or see my page on the right hand column labeled Walgreens 101.

I’ve had problems with Walgreens’ customer service as well. I also have a problem with their inconsistent coupon policies. I’ve done one transaction using coupons one day and then two days later at the same store, doing the same transaction, both the cashier and Manager tell me I can’t do it! ?? Then I go to another Walgreens ten minutes away and do the transaction! Very frustrating!! FYI …It was a B1G1 deal.
Now that I’ve vented……
I love your site and thank you for all you do. It is greatly appreciated!
I have the same problems at Walgreens, while I love the deals and freebies I can get there it is usually a hassle. I live near 2 stores that are about 2 miles apart and their sales are completely different, sometimes they accept coupons, sometimes they don’t. It is frustrating so I try to limit my time there unless I know I can get a good deal.
Hey guys! I have problems at most of the Walgreens up this way in Clearwater as well–I almost hate going there since it seems that there is always an issue! Thanks for the post!
Same problems with Walgreens – and there’s only one in town. I never really know exactly what I’ll end up spending and what RRs I’ll really get. And I’ve heard every excuse in the book about why it doesn’t print the RRs (and one time, the actual problem was that the printer was jammed!). It’s gotten to taking too much time to figure out the deals, find the coupons, make sure I have enough products so the coupons and RRs will be taken. And they haven’t hired the sharpest knives in the drawer. Plus, I was told last week that the policies are changing, and “they’re changing stuff in the computers, but not telling us.” I’m at the point where it better be free – and easy, or I’m not dealing with it and going across the street to CVS (maybe that’s what Walgreen’s wants us to do?!).
Ditto to ALL THE ABOVE…..it is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING to me how they treat their couponers!!!! I have ALSO had bad experiences with not only CASHIERS but MANAGERS too!!!!! Sometimes I wonder why they can’t appreciate the fact that we are simply trying to get the best deal possible for our families!!! It is hard for me to believe that they would not do the same thing if they were aware of these GREAT DEAL SCENARIOS!!!!!
LAST WEEK I tried to ring up several boxes (5 to be exact) of the ELECTRASOL DISHWASHER TABS (ALL IN ONE) individually so that I could earn 1 Register Reward each along with using my $2.50/1 coupon on each box….well they cashier was not at all happy seeing me get these for FREE and called a manager to the front and accused me of TAKING ADVANTAGE of the store, I was so embarrassed/humiliated!!!! The manager said he was allowed to limit sales and would limit my sale to only 3 boxes!!!! I simply, nicely asked for a refund and drove 5 minutes to a different Walgreens and experienced ZERO problems….uuuuuggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!
